About the Role
As the Examinations and Awards Manager, you'll play a crucial role in leading the examination process at Queen Mary. The current provision is a combination of online and in-person examinations and this post will be responsible for managing in-person examinations and all associated activities including generating the timetable, collating papers, recruiting and training invigilators, ensuring the rooms are correctly set-up and managed according to regulations, supporting students with exam access arrangements and dealing with queries from staff and students. In addition, the role will oversee the production and distribution of Queen Mary degree certificates and assist during the main enrolment periods. This is a hybrid role, working on campus for at least two days per week and full time leading up to and during the examination periods.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of using exam scheduling software to develop a timetable and of administering an in-person exam function in a university or college setting. You will be highly organised, methodical and have an eye for detail. You will be focused on the student experience and sensitive to student needs. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for this post.
About the Department
Registry Services is responsible for the maintenance of a student’s personal and academic record from the point of enrolment through to award, for the development and delivery of the academic and exams timetables, the distribution of the Queen Mary bursary and other approved scholarships, ensuring compliance with immigration rules and dealing with academic and regulatory queries from both students and academic colleagues.
