This University Clinical Research Fellow post is being established to support research into diabetes, diabetes complications a special interest in chronic complications and screening through primary care. The post is funded by internal funds within the Clinical Diabetes Department at the University Hospital Aintree (part of Liverpool University Hospitals Foundations Trust (LUFHT)) and the University of Liverpool. There will be strong involvement with both academic and NHS colleagues at the University of Liverpool and LUFHT,
You will work under the clinical direction and academic direction of Dr. Uazman Alam, Professor Daniel Cuthbertson, Professor John Wilding and Professor Yalin Zheng. This will be alongside other clinical and academic colleagues across LUFHT and the University of Liverpool.
Your principle duties will be research duties, supporting clinical trials and translational studies of artificial intelligence in diabetes management. It is envisaged that the research fellow will undertake a weekly clinic which will be aligned to recruitment for the clinical research study and PhD. The post is available from 1st March 2025 until 28th February 2028.
