About the role
The post will support the Director of the Institute, Professor Mariana Mazzucato, in her role as a policy adviser to Governments around the world. Other key relationships include with the: Director’s Head of Policy, Institute Manager, Director’s Executive Assistant, Grant Manager, Chief of Staff, Head of Communications, and Faculty Office staff. The post-holder should have strong project management skills, able to manage projects with both long and short-term time horizons, while maintaining focus on day to day activities and administration. We may close the advert early if we receive a high volume of applications.
About you
You will be an outstanding individual who is able to combine knowledge of academia and global policy priorities, with the interpersonal skills to work independently in the creation of a network of trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. It requires high levels of personal credibility, discretion and resilience, as well as a flair for collaboration, planning and switching between the big picture and the details of a pressing issue. It also requires a strong commitment to accountability, for the individual to act independently and an ability to make informed judgements on prioritisation and delivery.
