Join the Mohn Centre for Children’s Health and Wellbeing team as a new Research Assistant to help create a research ready dataset with particular focus on linked children’s health, social care, and education data. This work is funded by Administrative Data UK and you will play a key role in performing analyses on this new dataset that will be included in peer-reviewed journals.

What you would be doing

You will join an innovative team to realise the potential of a new research ready dataset for children and young people’s health in Northwest London, contributing to the success of WSIC/Discover Now data.

The postholder will play a key role in making sure that the potential of the new Research Ready Dataset is realised through:

1. Performing analyses on the Discover Now dataset that will be included in peer-reviewed journal articles.
2. Teaching and supporting others to use the Discover Now dataset for both operational and research questions about the health and wellbeing of children and young people in NW London.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a collaborative and flexible candidate with experience working with administrative datasets in England. Familiarity with the WSIC/Discover Now dataset is a bonus.

• Experience with large healthcare datasets and presenting analyses to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of information governance, privacy, and security related to NHS health records and administrative datasets.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical software.
• Highly organised and able to work independently.
