The Centre for Wireless Innovation in EEECS at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow to work for a US-Ireland Project, in collaboration with Virginia Tech and Trinity College Dublin. The successful candidate will work on resilient cell-free massive MIMO, physical layer security, and performance optimization using advanced signal processing and machine learning tools.

The candidate will join a vibrant research group of 75 people, including 13 academics. The candidates will also have the opportunity to contribute to the research activities of the new Queen’s Momentum One Zero (M1.0).

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Research experience in massive MIMO, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces. cell-free massive MIMO,communication theory, optimization or related area.
  • Evidence of strong publication record commensurate with stage of career.

This is a 2 year fixed term post. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
