About the role
UCL’s Global Engagement team, part of the Office of the Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement), is recruiting for the role of Global Engagement Officer.
You will work within a dynamic, fast paced team, supporting the academic community of one of the world’s leading universities, based in the heart of London.
Global Engagement Officers play a vital role within the team, providing high quality support across the team’s global partnerships activities, advisory services and its strategic global initiatives. Global Engagement Officers contribute to ensuring that Global Engagement’s projects and programmes are delivered to high standards by providing first line administrative and practical support.
This role will appeal to someone who enjoys delivering high-quality events and meetings, conducting desk-based research, and has an interest in in the internationalisation of higher education. We are looking for individuals who have high levels of resilience and enthusiasm, as well as excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
You will balance your time supporting a range of different team members, each responsible for a different global region or strategic remit. Standards within the team are high and you will be supported by the team in order to produce excellent work. To enable you to be proactive and independent within the role, you will be required to engage deeply with the content and context of both the Global Engagement team’s work and the work of UCL’s Faculties and Departments.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good general education, alongside strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently and prioritise. You should be able to build good relations with both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and written skills together with attention to detail are essential. The ability to summarise documents and write simple reports is required. Familiarity and experiences with event management and travel logistical support is desirable.
