About us
The UCL Strategic Plan 2022-2027 outlines a vision for a ‘futures focussed’ UCL education that is ambitious and distinctive. In line with the plan, the new ‘UCL Higher Education Development & Support Institute’ (HEDS) was established in 2024 to bring together teaching, assessment and employability in order to support student futures.
About the role
Our student surveys provide essential information that helps to measure the impact of our education and understand our students and their experiences at UCL. In this job you’ll lead on the promotion of internal and external student surveys. You’ll help to secure high response rates, and to ensure that staff and students understand the annual survey cycle and develop an end-to-end survey strategy to ensure coherence and continuity across the feedback obtained. You’ll also support the dissemination of, and insight into, intelligence that is gathered through surveys.
You’ll use your communication skills to work effectively with colleagues across HEDS and the Office of the Vice Provost (Education & Student Experience), as well as the Students’ Union and directly / indirectly with faculties. In addition, you’ll work with SR Student Operations who will provide data management and quality support for data collection and visualisation.
A full range of duties can be found on the attached job description.
About you
You’ll need experience of survey and/or project management within a complex organisation. You’ll be skilled in planning and implementing marketing campaigns and/or communications plans, and using a range of communication channels to deliver clear strategic objectives. You’ll be effective in stakeholder management, able to network and influence across multiple departments within a large and complex organisation.
If you have experience within Higher Education, then that’s great. But if you don’t, but tick our other boxes, we’d still love to hear from you!
Please review the job description before applying, paying particular attention to the essential and desirable criteria, and ensure these are covered in your application.
