This is a fixed term appointment for 3 years and is part-time for 17.5 hours per week (0.5fte). The above salary should be pro-rated to 0.5fte.
The LSE Law School is a world-renowned law faculty and vibrant intellectual community of staff and students. The post holder will join the Professional Services team of the Law School with specific responsibilities for the smooth running and administration of the new LSE Legal Advice Clinic.
The LSE Legal Advice Clinic enables members of the public to receive advice from Law School students on selected areas of the law, under the guidance of professional external solicitors. The post-holder is responsible for providing organisational support and co-ordination, liaising with clients, general administration and co-ordination. The post-holder will also be responsible for the processes of recruiting student volunteers, scheduling client appointments and supporting training.
Candidates must have experience of handling confidential and sensitive information with tact, discretion and professionalism, and experience of standard Microsoft Office software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to display empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients, are all essential. Candidates must also demonstrate strong organisational skills, experience of drafting different forms of written communication, and an approach that is client-focused, collaborative, proactive and solution-focused.
