Nazarene Theological College invites applications for a Counselling BA Pathway Lead and Lecturer. The post holder must be a practising counsellor and be accredited with the BACP or equivalent UK professional body. The successful candidate will also have prior teaching experience. The current salary range is £26,800-£38,700, dependent on experience and qualifications. There is the possibility that this role could include some senior administrative quality assurance responsibilities, although these tasks are not listed below. If you have skills and experience in quality assurance matters and would be interested in this responsibility, then indicate in your application. This additional responsibility would be reflected in the salary offered.

The preferred start date for the post is 1 July 2025 but alternative dates would be considered. This post is not designed for remote working. The appointment will initially be for a one-year probationary period, with the expectation of a permanent rolling contract to take effect subsequently. The closing date for applications is January 15th, 2025. First interviews will be in late January.  Candidate(s) who are selected for the final shortlist will be requested to attend an on-site interview process (including a presentation), with times to be arranged. All appointments are subject to approval by the NTC Board of Governors, and to satisfactory references.

In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 it is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian, and we expect the post holder to adhere to the values of the College.
