The department has a strong culture of collaboration and works closely with colleagues across the University, including Professional Services and the academic community to support the strategic priorities of the University. We aim to be collaborative, ambitious, inspirational, agile and respectful as we support delivery of the University strategy, and we encourage all team members to embed these values in their day-to-day work.

The role
Often the first point of contact for the Advancement Office, potentially for the university, you will deal with incoming queries and requests from staff, former students (alumni) and other stakeholders. Not just answering the phone or managing a busy inbox, you’ll also find yourself managing our online community hub Bath Connection, updating our database or helping connect alumni with long lost friends. Whatever the day holds you'll need solid administration skills, a passion for process yet have the flexibility to deliver excellent customer service.
You’ll possess exceptional capacity for accuracy and attention to detail, have the confidence to communicate with people at different levels and have superb IT skills. A real team player, with hybrid working on offer you’ll need to be motivated to work on your own at times. However, you’ll be part of a small (friendly) alumni engagement team, where you will be well looked after with opportunities to develop and enhance your skills.
