We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Plumber/Fitter to join our Department of Estates.
You will carry out PPM and reactive mechanical/plumbing tasks to ensure that the School’s buildings and estate are maintained to a high standard and ensure a safe working environment for all students, school staff and visitors.
The Estates Department is multi-disciplinary, providing comprehensive estate planning and management services and a range of facilities support services to ensure that the land and property assets are capable of supporting the academic and other business of the School, safely and effectively.
You must hold a relevant plumbing/mechanical trade qualification such as city and guilds or NVQ level 2 along with substantial experience of working in occupied buildings undertaking a wide range of plumbing /mechanical tasks. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £34,011 - £38,198 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
