About the Role
The RA/PDRA will join the UKRI funded programme seeking to improve access and delivery of equitable rehabilitation for older people with fragility fracture. They will support 1) the study close and development of materials for dissemination for the Stratify feasibility randomised controlled trial where participants were allocated to rehabilitation based on their predicted risk of poor outcome (see www.stratifyhip.co.uk); 2) the development and implementation of a protocol to evaluate the feasibility of extracting structured clinical concepts from free text documentation of rehabilitation following surgical repair of a fragility fracture; 3) the development and implementation of a protocol for a realist synthesis to determine how prioritisation for access to community rehabilitation after fragility fracture is determined.

About You

  • Including organisation of trial management and steering committee meetings, preparation of reports, and materials for archiving.
  • Contribute to the development of protocol to evaluate the feasibility of extracting structured clinical concepts from free text documentation of rehabilitation following surgical repair of a fragility fracture including:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a protocol for a realist synthesis to determine how prioritisation for access to community rehabilitation after fragility fracture is determined including:
  • Prepare materials for public and patient involvement, and lead public and patient involvement discussion groups.
  • Contribute to the writing and publication of high-quality papers in peer-reviewed literature both nationally and internationally.
  • Contribute to the presentation of results at conferences nationally and internationally (as funding allows).

The post is based at the Whitechapel. It is a full time 35 hours, 12 months fixed term contract. The starting salary will be grade 4 in the range of £37,472- £45,622 per annum, inclusive of the London Allowance.
