Applications are invited for a part-time Communications and Events Officer to work with the Neuroscience, Ethics and Society Team (NEUROSEC). The post is part-time, 80% FTE and is based in the Department of Psychiatry, at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded to 31 March 2026 with the possibility of extension).
You will report to Professor Ilina Singh and will contribute to the execution of NEUROSEC’s communications strategy, including planning and scheduling content distribution as well as uploading content to our websites and/or social media feeds. You will provide support to the NEUROSEC team for external meetings and events; including planning, organisation, timetabling, catering, travel and accommodation arrangements for staff and visiting academics.
You will have an undergraduate or master’s degree in a relevant subject along with demonstrable experience developing and maintaining public-facing digital platforms such as websites, social media and print media for broader societal impact and engagement. With excellent ability in English language written communication skills, you will have the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging materials for external stakeholders along with experience of digital security and governance requirements for public facing platforms. As would experience working on projects related to young people.
