Lecturer (Learning, Teaching & Scholarship)

The College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer for a maternity cover to join the School of Molecular Biosciences. We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by contributing to teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with undergraduate programmes, primarily in the area of molecular biology and data analysis (including statistics), across the Life Sciences Portfolio.

The School of Molecular Biosciences is an internationally leading multi-disciplinary centre with seminal contributions to pioneering discovery research in molecular life sciences. Our research outputs were ranked 4th in the UK with 95% of them considered world-leading or internationally excellent in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework. Our undergraduate teaching programmes in Molecular Biosciences (Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Cell Biology) were ranked as No1 in the UK (Guardian University Subject Guide 2023).

We welcome applications from candidates who hold a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or equivalent in a related discipline and demonstrable teaching experience in a relevant area of Life Sciences.

This post is full time and to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months or until the substantive postholder returns.
