About us
The UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE) is looking to appoint an experienced administrator to join the English for Academic Purposes Office. The EAP Office is responsible for administration of the centre’s many EAP-related courses, including UCL’s undergraduate and graduate foundation courses, the Pre-sessional and PASHE, teacher training and other short courses. This cover position’s main focus will be handling enquiries, applications and other pre- and post-enrolment administration for the UCL Undergraduate Preparatory Certificate and UCL International Pre-Master’s. Students applying for these courses hope to progress to undergraduate or graduate degree level study at UCL or other top-ranking UK universities.
About the role
The EAP Administrator (Maternity Cover) will provide high-quality administrative support for 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically with 2 set days in the office and other days WFH – full-time fixed term position. The Administrator will report to the Head of EAP Administration and will work closely with other administrators in the EAP Office team, as well as academic leads, and colleagues in CLIE Marketing and Finance and the central UCL administration.
The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK.
Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to start in January. Maternity cover is until 30.09.2025.

About you
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic administrator with a friendly and professional approach and significant recent experience in student admissions or student records, in either the HE or private sector. You will be quick to understand and apply policy and able to communicate it in a clear and patient way. You will have the confidence to deal with a range of academic and administrative colleagues and you will be a helpful and supportive team member, happy to seek advice, share information and participate in regular team meetings. You should be accustomed to a hybrid working model and be able to organise and prioritise, working to deadlines and targets, sometimes under pressure, with good time management and excellent attention to detail. You will also be able to demonstrate flexibility and readiness when faced with new challenges. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft and other software platforms is essential.
