The Post

We wish recruit a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy. This post will be central to the launch in 2025 of our new MSc in Physiotherapy programme, and to providing leadership of the related curriculum development and delivery of the physiotherapy specific modules. The post holder will be a registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC and have current and relevant clinical and educational experience in this area of practice. The preference is that the successful candidate will hold experience within general physiotherapy practice with acute inpatient clinical work. Experience of medical/surgical and/or stroke rehabilitation would be a significant advantage and complementary to our existing physiotherapy lecturing team.

The successful candidate will be working towards (Grade 8) or have PhD or equivalent (Grade 9). They will also have experience of leading educational programmes (Grade 9), innovative teaching, for example, clinical teaching, and/or delivering online and face-to-face teaching at under-graduate or post-graduate level. A solid grounding in using an evidence-based approach to education and research-led practice is essential as the post holder will also contribute to the enhancement of our Health Sciences undergraduate and post-graduate portfolio, where we have seen significant growth in the AHP student body. Where possible, they will also contribute to doctorate supervision and research activities in line with our strategic goals. The successful candidate would have a sound understanding of healthcare, healthcare administration and/or healthcare education. Ideally, they will have evidence of professional networks and successful collaborations linked to teaching, research or advancement of professional practice at national or international standing.
