The Department of Computing wishes to recruit a Senior Teaching Fellow to run our MSc Artificial Intelligence (MSc AI) programme.
The MSc Artificial Intelligence (MSc AI) is a 12-month programme for students with a strong mathematical background but no previous substantial computer science education. The degree was created in response to the need for highly qualified AI experts and the increasing number of applicants interested in this field.
What you would be doing
The post holder will lead and co-ordinate the MSc AI degree and be responsible for its many aspects, including: teaching some modules and designing new modules, tutoring, preparation of final results, liaising with industry, co-ordinating the group and individual projects, and the internship option.
You will also act as admissions tutor for this degree and others.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Computing or a closely related subject. You will have expertise in some areas, e.g. Ethics in AI; Software engineering; Reinforcement learning. Experience of working in a Computing academic environment and of delivering high-quality teaching would be desirable. In addition, you will produce clear and concise written materials and have the ability to work well in a diverse team environment interacting with individuals at all levels.
