The role
The School of Biosciences and Chemistry is looking to recruit a Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry to deliver research-informed teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry and bioscience degree programmes, including our foundation year.
You will be an enthusiastic and committed individual, who is able to contribute towards the current portfolio and create a vibrant, engaging learning experience for our students. Your role will involve all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, including preparation, lecturing, tutorials and assessment, as well as teaching of laboratory classes.

Applicants should have a PhD and/or professional experience as a scientist in the chemical or industrial science sector.
The school is part of the Sheffield Multimodal Imaging Centre equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation for a range of imaging modalities and hosts the Centre for Mass Spectrometry Imaging.
As part of your role as an active researcher, you will be expected to contribute research outcomes in an area aligned with the key research themes of the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre (BMRC). These contributions will enhance the research centre's profile through the publication of high-quality research, income generation, and/or knowledge transfer activities.
