The role
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Hospitality, Tourism and Aviation professional with demonstrable contemporary knowledge, from working directly in or with relevant industries coupled with a strong academic background. You must be able to confidently teach in at least two of the following areas:
The ability to manage your own workload and work proactively is vital in this role along with the ability to inspire, motivate and connect with a range of different stakeholders such as our students, other academic teams and external clients. You do not need extensive experience of teaching; this is a great opportunity for an applicant with senior industry experience and a desire to inspire the next generation of tourism and hospitality professionals to embark on a career in academia.
The department
The Global Business, Hospitality and Tourism Management division, are among the leading players in UK tourism, hospitality and aviation education and research. With a dedicated academic team who have broad and complementary teaching and research expertise as well as industry experience. We work in a very open and collaborative way with a strong commitment to both teamwork and developing innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. We are part of an AASCB accredited Business School and our courses are accredited by the Institute of Hospitality (IoH) and the Tourism Management Institute (TMI).
