Salary: £27,838 - £31,459 with a discretionary range to £34,046 per annum (pro-rata) 

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Children's Research Team in the Department of Paediatrics as our Clinical Trials Assistant.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills who can work flexibly to support our research team in the Neonatal Unit.

You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.

This position is offered part time (0.6 FTE) on a maternity cover contract.

The working week will be shaped by study schedules, administrative processes and meetings that are scheduled. Your base will be the at the Neonatal Unit, Women’s Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford but you may be required to visit the Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospitals sites which are within a 20 mins walking distance.

About you

You will need strong time management skills as well as excellent IT and literacy skills. We require you to have the ability to build effective working relationships, be highly motivated and undertake tasks on your own initiative.

You must have the ability to plan and undertake your work in an accurate, methodical and efficient manner. It is important to be able to multitask, have meticulous attention to detail and see problem solving as an enjoyable challenge.
