The role 

We are currently looking for a Technical Tutor to join our Media Services team to provide technical tuition primarily within the TV studio.  You will be involved in supporting virtual production for TV, a range of camera and broadcast equipment and will provide broadcast and/or lighting support for university events.

Technical tuition can take a variety of forms such as technical classes, workshops, skills training sessions and 1-2-1 tuition. Although not responsible for the curriculum, you will use your expertise to collaborate with the relevant academic team regarding the curriculum.

The candidate

The ideal candidate has a strong background in TV production and/or broadcast engineering. You will have a wealth of experience with a variety of camera, lighting and grip equipment. You will have some experience in, or a desire to learn, virtual production techniques.

You will be highly motivated by passing your knowledge on to others, able to explain complex technical concepts in an easy to understand way and be adept at problem solving an innovation in your work.
