About the role

Teaching Assistants (TAs) will supplement academic lectures through the delivery of group teaching (for example, in seminars and workshops) and associated duties for students taking modules in the School of Management. Associated duties may include marking coursework and exams.

The post holder will report to the leader of the module/s they are supporting and the appointment will be available from 6th January to 30th June 2025.

About you

The successful candidate will need to evidence the following in their application:

  • Educated to Masters level, or have equivalent qualifications or professional qualifications and experience, in a Management related field relevant to the course modules you are interested in
  • Understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • Experience with prototyping techniques and tools used in product development
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities faced by startups
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office software including Word, Excel, email, and the internet
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing (including accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation), with students, academic and administrative staff at all levels
  • Excellent organisational, and time management skills and keen attention to detail
  • Commitment to providing dedicated office hours for additional coursework support and student guidance
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and time-critical schedules working independently or as part of a team
