Applications are invited for an academic post of Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering (Structural) in the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH).

UKH is seeking a highly motivated and qualified academic to join the Civil Engineering programme as a full-time Assistant Professor. The primary purpose of this role is to support the growing MSc in Structural Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as engage in leading-edge research. We are seeking an individual with a proven record of research and teaching in one or more of the following areas:

  • Materials science in civil engineering
  • Structural engineering
  • Geotechnical engineering
  • Infrastructure resilience and sustainability

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant area and have extensive experience of research and teaching at the university level, as well as being fluent in English.
