Applications are invited for the above fixed term, full time post working in the School of Arts, Culture and Language and the cross-Wales Cymru Wledig Local Policy and Innovation Partnership (LPIP) Rural Wales project.
As part of the LPIP’s research and evaluation work streams, the post-holder will be responsible for a series of short, targeted studies on topics around community resilience and sustainable economy. Duties will include a variety of social science methods through collecting and analysing primary and secondary data, designing and implementing surveys, and writing papers for publication and conferences.
Candidates should be educated to postgraduate standard (or equivalent) and have previous experience of conducting field-based research. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post. This role will be located on campus at Bangor but will involve work with colleagues in other organisations in Wales, as well as fieldwork and travel within Wales.
Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
