The Roehampton Education Services Limited is seeking to appoint an extended Visiting Tutor team (across all subjects identified above) to join our wider School and University team to teach on our expanding Short Course and Continuing Professional Development portfolio offer in the subject areas delivered by the University of Roehampton.

The appointment will involve leading and delivering a high-quality university student experience, engagement and learning across relevant short courses. Tutors may also be asked to contribute to relevant student recruitment/ celebratory events. We encourage a blended learning approach to learning and teaching, combining traditional lectures, seminars, ‘learning by doing’ practical sessions, and student-led discussions in our teaching approaches.

We ensure our curriculum supports learning appropriate to the student’s prior experience, through engagement with tailored delivery, employability and skill-led experiential learning. We also support students by providing activities and material that extend beyond the scheduled programme.

Successful applicants will normally have experience in many of the blended teaching approaches listed above, as well as with supporting a diverse range of students, at pre degree, undergraduate and/or postgraduate level/ professional development. Industry experience is highly desirable as is experience with online/ hybrid learning environments. We are seeking individuals who are: student focused; demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills; and can work flexibly.

We are looking to appoint for autumn, winter, spring and summer programmes (term time/ out of term-time, days/ evening/ weekends), and will interview as we receive applications. Thus, please do not wait to apply if interested in the position/s.

The rate of pay for Visiting Tutors is £55.00 per hour. This rate includes: contact time, preparation, self-directed study activities, and annual leave. Additional administrative duties and content development is paid at the rate of £25.96 per hour. When required this will be agreed in advance by the Director of School/ Dean.
