Opportunity Overview
The University of Salford's School of Arts, Media, and Creative Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Fellow in English Language to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover basis (0.6 FTE), January 2025 to December 2025. As a member of our dynamic English Language team, you will lead and teach a range of modules, including Health Communication, Analysing Media Texts, and more. You will also provide academic support to our diverse student community as a Personal Tutor and contribute to the supervision of postgraduate research students.
We are looking for a candidate with a background in teaching English Language/Linguistics in Higher Education, with expertise in areas such as Corpus Linguistics, (Critical) Discourse Analysis, and Stylistics. A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline is essential, and a commitment to research-led teaching is highly valued.
