This full-time post is available from 6 January 2025 on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity, this is likely be for at least 12 months.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid or remote working within the UK.

Summary of the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our HR Global Employment team. The Global Mobility Manager (Global Employment) will play a crucial role in supporting the international development of the University in a smooth, efficient and compliant way. The Global Employment Manager contributes directly to the University’s Global Strategy and is responsible for the shaping and development of an international HR function by establishing robust and future-proof policies, procedures and systems, and upskilling internal teams.

Key aspects of this role will include:

  • Supporting the University’s international development by ensuring the internal Global Employment practice is relevant, efficient and aligned to strategic objectives
  • Leading on the HR aspects of key large-scale international projects
  • Developing and maintaining the University’s global employment policy portfolio, processes, and system environment
  • Managing all global employment operations including case management and implementation, overseas payroll, procurement initiatives and finance cross-charge
  • Building and maintaining key relationships within the organisation to drive change and raise awareness of global employment matters internally and externally 

We are looking for people with: 

  • A recent and successful experience of managing a Global Mobility team in a complex environment
  • Experience of supporting the HR aspects of large-scale international projects such as the set up of a new foreign entity or an international partnerhip.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage others and build a positive rapport.
  • An in-depth understanding of the Global Mobility technology market to inform and support the function’s digital transformation
