We are looking for a friendly, engaging and enthusiastic individual to join the School of Psychology Operations team. The role holder will work together with colleagues to provide excellent administrative support and provide PA support to the Director of Teaching to ensure day-to-day operational needs are met.  

As an Administrator you will:

  • Provide excellent support to the Director of Teaching; diary management, minute taking and document preparation.  
  • Be front of house as part of the School’s reception and student-facing offices; welcoming students and visitors to the building, dealing with day-to-day enquiries.
  • Proactively support teaching and learning related activities; manage databases, updating files, running reports and supporting events.
  • Be a key member of the School Operations team; receive and respond to internal and external queries; resolving problems and providing support to a range of requests.
  • Update the SharePoint and Psychology website, support community events and projects.

 And you will bring:

  • Extensive level of IT skills, including MS Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams)
  • Ability to work independently to resolve complex internal and external queries.
  • Provide and maintain a high level of customer service whilst working to deadlines.
  • Accuracy, reliability and the willingness and adaptability to learn new skills and procedures.
  • A positive attitude to building and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues within the School/department, University and external suppliers.

The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed-term contract until 31 July 2025. The role will be based on campus with some flexibility to work from home. Job share arrangements may be available.
