Applications are invited for the following post: Interim Vice-President: International. The Interim Vice-President: International will provide strategic direction and senior leadership for the Global Galway team and develop the strategic vision for Internationalisation for the University.

The University employs over 2,500 staff, 27% of which are international staff. With over 135,000 alumni and research collaborations with approximately 5,015 institutes in 178 countries globally. Our international reach and impact is significant, and growing.

The Interim Vice-President: International will provide strategic direction and senior leadership for the Global Galway team and develop the strategic vision for Internationalisation for the University.

Salary: €140,068 to €177,079 per annum applicable to new entrants effective from January 2011) This appointment will be made on the Established professor scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University’s Remuneration policy. Duration of term:

This is a specified purpose contract starting 6th January 2025 until such time as either (i) the current Vice President: International reverts from their position of interim Deputy President and Registrar back to this role of Vice President: International ; or (ii) In the event that the interim Deputy President and Registrar does not revert to the role of Vice President: International,  the position of Vice President: International is otherwise filled via  another separate recruitment competition.
