Applications are invited for an appointment as 1 FTE Lecturer in International Human Rights Law at University of Galway, Ireland. This is a permanent contract.
The Irish Centre for Human Rights is one of the world's premier academic human rights institutions, dedicated to the study of human rights, peace and conflict, international criminal law and humanitarian law, international refugee and migration law, gender and human rights and climate justice. The Centre has developed a global reputation for excellence in the field of human rights teaching, research and advocacy. Each year we attract high quality students from across the globe, to our acclaimed Masters programs in International Human Rights Law, Peace Operations, Conflict and Humanitarian Law, International Migration and Refugee Law and Policy and International Criminal Law, and new LLM programmes in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and Conflict, and LLM in Gender and Human Rights. Our academic programmes also include unique education opportunities through our undergraduate BCL Law and Human Rights and BA with Human Rights. The Centre also hosts a thriving international community of doctoral researchers.
The School of Law has over 1,000 students, over 45 faculty, research and professional services staff, and over 15 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Salary:
€ 62,376 to €99,508 pro rata p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
