At the Ann Craft Trust we are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to be responsible for the day-to-day management of our finance transactions and procedures, providing information to management to include monitoring and review spend against our budgets. Working in our Operations team alongside our Training and Office Co-ordinator as well as our Safeguarding Adults in Sport Administrator, line managed by our Operations Manager, you will support the preparation of management and year end accounts, forecasts and budgets to ultimately help enable us to remain a prominent authority in safeguarding adults in the UK.

You will collaborate with Trust colleagues and Associate Trainers as well as external suppliers and partners to guide them through our financial processes. A key element of your role is monitoring and reviewing spend to budget on grants, analysing large variance to discuss with Trust management to ultimately help support our vision of stopping the abuse of all adults.

Along with your excellent IT skills and meticulous attention to detail you will have a high level of numeracy and proven ability to formulate data with ease, using spreadsheets and accountancy packages. To effectively support our financial administration you will have proven systematic, logical and problem solving capabilities, be able to work under your own initiative and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.  You will have a developed understanding of the application of fundamental accounting conventions and be able to demonstrate your practical experience of managing budgets and using accounting software packages.

You will be AAT Qualified and/or possess relevant broad vocational experience in finance.
