Short summary

We seek an experienced individual to lead our new Enterprise Systems Change team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the creation, integration, and maintenance of processes within operational critical enterprise applications, ensuring they support the institute’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, leadership qualities, and a comprehensive understanding of enterprise application development processes, coupled with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and integration specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Work with specialists and virtual team members from across the organisation to ensure a consistent and high-quality delivery approach.

Application Development

  • Oversee the development of enterprise applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure robust software development practices, including coding standards, testing, and documentation, are following and enhanced.

Application Integration

  • Design and implement integration solutions that connect various enterprise applications and systems.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between systems, enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Communication

  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed of relevant improvements and other change activities.
  • Work with the ITO Operational Support team to ensure they have the understanding, skills and updated documentation to deliver the day-to-day run activity within these systems

 Governance and Risk Management

  • Review, enhance and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data security and compliance requirements are met while ensuring operational efficiency remains a key objective.
  • Working closely with the IT Security Operations Team, manage risks associated with IT.

Project Management and Delivery

  • Manage application development and integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget adherence.
