We are seeking to appoint an Insurance Officer to work within the Financial Services Department at the University of Huddersfield.
The post sits within the Procurement & Insurance Team and is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of the University’s Insurance Portfolio, including managing the relationship with all University Insurers and Brokers and acting as a first port of call for all insurance matters at the University.
With 5 GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent/higher qualifications, you will have experience of working in a busy business-related setting however previous experience of working in insurance is not essential. You will have the ability to produce written reports and be willing to learn how to interpret insurance policies, legislation, regulations and advise on implications of non-compliance. The ability to initiate, create, and develop professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is also essential.
