The Service Excellence Programme is focussed on delivering ambitious outcomes that drive real benefits for our students and staff by improving both our internal and externally facing services. We will create simpler and more effective ways of working that simplify our organisation and put our users at the centre of service delivery. We are looking for individual experts in their field, looking for a challenge to work with University teams to deliver change in a complex organisation. Our ambition is clear, to make a significant difference in how we work and what we do, utilising technology and data to create sustainable solutions while focussing on building capability in our people to make sure we are ready for the future. In doing so, we will support our colleagues to deliver what really matters - excellence in teaching, research and the student experience.

Reporting to our Senior Transformation Leads this role will work in collaboration across the Transformation Team, and key stakeholders across the University, the Transformation Lead will act as the day-to-day ‘business owner’ for projects, or specific deliveries, within the Transformation Portfolio. We’re looking for someone with leadership experience within complex multi-year change initiatives. The postholder will have significant experience within programme and project work, be able to adapt their approach depending on the challenges in front of them. An inspirational and outcome-focused individual, their purpose is to keep projects on track, working alongside a cross-functional group of stakeholders from across the University to inform, influence and shape projects that deliver measurable benefits. Adept at working as a leader, matrix managing resources from diverse backgrounds able to create a cohesive project team aligned to the transformation ask and delivery of agreed outcomes and benefits.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available until 31st July 2027 in the first instance.
