Fixed term for 10 months

Interview date: 4 November 2024

We are seeking an inspirational Lecturer in Health Sciences to join our expanding Life Sciences team with an embedded culture of student-focused teaching and high impact research. The successful applicant will primarily teach on the BSc Health Sciences programme within the Science Subject area of the Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology but an ability to teach across the wider subject area would be advantageous.

You will also be expected to contribute to the research and scholarly output of the subject area and work with other researchers within the Faculty and wider University and experience of research supervision would also be an advantage for this. Research and scholarship are supported through our research centres, mentor scheme, and 25 days’ leave (pro rata) for scholarly activity.

We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another.  With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy.
