We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Research Software Developer to join the Fisher laboratory which develops state-of-the-art computational models to investigate cancer evolution and mechanisms of treatment resistance in order to find new therapeutic strategies that can be translated into clinical trials and improve the outcome of cancer patients.

The post holders will be expected to make significant contributions to the development of the computational tools and pipelines developed in the Fisher Lab, including the BioModelAnalyzer tool https://biomodelanalyzer.org/ This will involve maintenance, bug fixing, testing and deployment to the cloud. It will also include the integration of bioinformatic pipelines and data-analysis techniques with BMA. For more details about the Fisher lab, please visit: www.ucl.ac.uk/cancer/ fisher-lab

We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

This post is funded until 30th September 2025 in the first instance, with a probationary period of 9 months.

Applicants must have experience in scientific programming and code deployment as well as presenting complex programming concepts and content both in writing and verbally. They will show a strong commitment to the Fisher lab mission and embody its values through excellent collaborative interpersonal skills with an ability to work co-operatively in a multidisciplinary setting.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team are essential. The post-holder will be expected to collaborate with external research groups, as well as contributing to the organisation and smooth operation of the Fisher lab.
