Professorship in Primary Care (Education)

Applications are requested from suitably qualified applicants for a 0.5 FTE, permanent Professorship in Primary Care (Education).

The University is seeking to appoint a senior academic clinician to the discipline of general practice.  We seek to appoint an experienced leader, who combines strong academic and general practice credentials, and who has previously played a leadership role in a Medical School and Discipline of General Practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate to have a lasting impact on healthcare education in Ireland. Salary: €221,476 to €265,058 pro rata per annum (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011) and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University’s Remuneration policy universityofgalway.ie/media/financialaccounting/financialaccountingoffice/QA321-Updated-PP-Remuneration.pdf

(This appointment will be made on an Academic Consultant scale in line with current Government pay policy) The 0.5FTE hours of work for academic staff are 19.5 hours per week.
