Homerton College is looking for a Development Officer who will working closely with senior college officers and take responsibility for managing the day-to-day administration of gifts and the maintaining of accurate records on our Amicus CRM database.

Working with the College Accountant, you will oversee the preparation of gift aid claims on donations and play a key role in donor stewardship and fundraising.

Some evening and weekend working will be required, as will travel to events across the UK.

You will be supported by both the Development Office and the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations Office (CUDAR) and suitable training will be given.

You will have:

  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management Systems and of philanthropic gift administration and methods for donor stewardship
  • An ability to write well and experience in developing fundraising
  • Confidence in talking to people both on the phone and on a 1:1 basis about money, gifts and legacies
  • A Degree-level education, or equivalent experience.

A Basic DBS will be required.
