The University of Northampton is delighted to advertise for a Lecturer in Dental Nursing to join our established team of academic staff. We seek experienced individuals to contribute to the future development of our portfolio and deliver a high-quality student experience. With a passion for education, relevant clinical experience, and the ability to deliver dental nursing education currently at academic levels 4 & 5, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the delivery of both clinical and academic modules.
The position will be 2.5 days a week (0.5 FTE) and will be aligned to the UON smarter working policy.

About You
We are looking for a hardworking and inspirational educator with creativity and a passion for advancing the profession. Experience in student supervision and/or teaching is desirable. Applicants must hold a qualification as a Dental Care Professional and have current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
As an experienced clinician you will be able to provide high quality, research informed teaching to undergraduate dental nursing students both within the classroom, a clinical environment, and through a variety of teaching mediums. The successful candidate will embrace active blended learning, through face-to-face teaching and use of our virtual learning platform.
An aptitude for research and the ability to supervise undergraduate projects is desirable. Applicants must be able to provide an outstanding student learning experience through effective planning, delivery, and assessment of a broad range of learning opportunities. A willingness to develop leadership capabilities through additional roles within the faculty and wider institution is welcomed.

Faculty initiatives include real-world simulation and Interprofessional Education. Strong links with practice learning partners ensure students receive teaching and preparation for practice in a dental services learning environment.
