We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Team Manager and PA to the Dean of Salford Business School to lead our established Executive Support Team.

The Executive Support Team support the School Senior Leadership Team, who are responsible for overseeing all aspects of Salford Business School and ensuring effective delivery of the school and university’s strategic objectives.

Our Executive Support Team

Our team of engaged and pro-active Executive Assistants ensure reliable and efficient support and are a central point of communication and business flow. Working as a pooled resource, we provide seamless support to members of the School Senior Leadership Team.

We are a centre of excellence for first-class executive support, consistently demonstrating integrity and aspiring to the highest standards of professionalism. We work to ensure our team inspires, and continuously offers opportunity to develop ourselves and others.

We collaborate with internal and external stakeholders while establishing new ways of working, pioneering change, and adopting new digital technologies to optimise our practice. 

We hope you will bring:

  • You’ll need to be resourceful, innovative and proactive, adjusting seamlessly to what can be a fluid environment
  • No two days are the same for us, so you’ll need to multi-task and effectively prioritise at an executive level
  • You’ll be confident making decisions and working on your initiative, and self-motivated to ensure the Offices of the Dean and Senior Leadership Team can continue operating at the highest standards
  • You’ll be a great communicator and enjoy connecting with people
  • You’ll be passionate about working collaboratively and co-creating with a wider team
  • Previous PA experience with the ability to contribute to and inform practice in our collaborative, pooled support function

Key skills

  • Strong skills in planning, organisation and time management and experience of complex diary and inbox management
  • IT proficiency, particularly with Excel to store, organise, and analyse data at an intermediate/advanced level
  • Ability to create reports, agendas, meeting slides and minutes with Microsoft 365
  • An excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to work to very tight timeframes and deadlines
  • High standard of written and verbal communications skills
  • Continuous improvement by questioning inefficient processes and look for smarter ways of working.
  • Problem solving in a structured and methodical way, analysing, and exploring causes of issues.
