About the Role

For informal enquiries, please contact Julie Macpherson (Professor) at j.macpherson@warwick.ac.uk

This is an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher to join the University of Warwick Electrochemistry and Interfaces Group (www.warwick.ac.uk/electrochemistry), a world-renowned group in the field of electrochemical research. You will gain experience working at the forefront of electrochemical sensor development for water-quality testing. Building on existing technology within the group focused on boron doped diamond electrodes and 3D printed electrodes, the role involves design, evaluation and optimisation of sensor performance for key water quality indicators towards real-world commercial application. The project will be focused specifically on “Development of a portable electrochemical sensor for dissolved oxygen” an environment indicator as important as pH in the measurement of the water quality, especially in environmental settings. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, vibrant and multidisciplinary environment. You will gain experience not only in a range of electrochemical sensor development methods and techniques but will be provided with the space and resources to develop your personal career and profile. The contract is for a fixed term of 12 months.
