About us
The Faculty of Medical Sciences is made up of six Divisions and Institutes providing teaching, research, and innovation in a wide range of subject areas spanning Medicine, Cancer, Dentistry, Infection and Immunity, and Surgery and Interventional Sciences.
This role is part of the Faculty of Medical Sciences Marketing and Communications team, delivering strategic communications and marketing for the Faculty of Medical Sciences and all departments.
About the role
The Marketing Officer will support the delivery of a marketing strategy to attract and convert a high calibre, diverse pipeline of applicants to FMS degree programmes. They will develop in-depth knowledge of our programmes and support the day-to-day management of marketing and digital marketing activities that communicate our unique value proposition of study to FMS target audiences. Typical activities will include contributing to copy calls for the UCL Prospectus and CRM and supporting the applicant journey with Open Days and other faculty and department conversion events and activities, both online and on-campus.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have some prior experience in implementing marketing activities.
To support with digital marketing activities, we are looking for someone with strong digital and web literacy, and the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly. The role holder will develop fluency in Drupal (UCL’s web content management system) and support with troubleshooting and creative problem solving. You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills, with good attention to detail and an ability to write, edit copy and present to a variety of audiences.
A vital aspect of the role is supporting with the organisation, preparation, setup, and delivery of public events. You will deal with a range of operational matters, which might include welcoming guests and handling enquiries, supporting academic staff, or reporting safety issues. We are looking for a committed team player who is well-organised, proactive, and capable of thinking independently and acting on their own initiative to ensure we deliver an excellent service.
