About the role

The role holder will act as first point of contact within UCL Engineering for current and potential partners, UCL Global Engagement Office (GEO), and with funding bodies and external partners (e.g., UKRI, British Council, Leverhulme Trust).

Working within the Faculty Office of UCL Engineering the role will support the Vice Dean (International) and the Director of Education and Student Experience (DESE). They will also work closely with faculty student recruitment and marketing staff, the Faculty Graduate Tutor (Research Students), and the Vice Dean (Research).

The overall purpose of the post is to:

  • Support the implementation of UCL Faculty of Engineering’s (UCL Engineering) strategic international partnership activities.
  • Help communicate global engagement activities and raise the visibility of UCL Engineering within UCL and internationally.
  • Look for and build opportunities for enhancing UCL Engineering global engagement in research and education.

About you

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Understanding of universities’ global context gained either through previous experience in a UK university or policy environment.
  • Ability to write strategic/operational reports.
  • Good numeracy skills, management and use of quantitative and qualitative data, with the ability to interpret and communicate them to different (e.g., academic, professional, political, diplomatic) audiences.
