The Role

The School of Art and Design is looking for an Assistant Professor in Design Management who will be principally responsible for coordinating and delivering teaching in Hainan, China, alongside Coventry-based duties.

The School of Art and Design has a very successful suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The School is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of local and international teaching and has recently begun an exciting new collaboration with the Communications University of China (CUC), for which we want to appoint a full-time Assistant Professor.

You will be responsible for the delivery and support of learning and teaching on Coventry University modules.

Qualifications Required

You should hold a post-graduate degree in Design Management or a related subject, and a PhD is essential.

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything you do, and you should be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of your area of specialisation.

You will have recent experience at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes, evidence of good/innovative practice and extensive experience and national profile in chose subject or field. 

You will need to facilitate the support of professional learning and development programmes and contribute to other commercial activity associated with teaching. You will also need the ability to contribute to the development and delivery of transnational education, partnerships, and international commercial projects.
