The College of Global Studies (the study abroad division of Arcadia University, USA) is seeking candidates for the following role:

Center Coordinator (Maternity Leave Contract)

Contract Type: Maternity cover fixed term contract (49 weeks) 4th Nov 2024 - 9th October 2025

This role is part of the Administrative team at the Arcadia University London Center in Holborn which provides a comprehensive range of support services and extra-curricular opportunities for around 1000 students per year, from over 200 schools in the US, on over 30 different programs in England & Wales.

The Center Coordinator provides front line services to all users of the Center, including greeting visitors, managing room bookings, supporting colleagues, answering telephone enquiries and responding to general enquiries.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an interest in study abroad programming / international higher education; an ability to communicate with students, staff and visitors alike, whilst maintaining a calm and organised work environment. As a front-facing position, candidates must be presentable, reliable, punctual and willing to assist other departments within the Center on an ad hoc basis.

The role is 36 hours per week (8:30am - 6:30pm) spread over 4 days (Monday - Thursday).

Eligibility

Applicants should have the right to work in the United Kingdom and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience, skills and attributes.

Essential:

  • GCSE English & Mathematics at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google suite applications

Desired:

  • Reception experience an advantage
  • Work experience in higher education systems
  • Knowledge of London & the UK, an ability to engage with students about London and the UK
  • Enthusiasm for study abroad and international education
