About the role

Are you ready to take on an exciting role that makes a real impact? We are inviting applications for a fantastic opportunity within our Research Development team. This team is dedicated to providing excellent advice and high quality support to the University’s academic staff, helping them secure research and knowledge exchange funding. Your primary focus will be on the teams in the Science & Medical areas.

You’ll: develop and manage budgets for a variety of research and knowledge exchange funding applications, ensure all funding applications meet the policy and regulatory requirements of the funders, make sure applications align with the University’s policies and procedures, support Award and Contract agreements and will work to both external and internal deadlines across multiple projects.

About you

You’ll have a degree or equivalent experience, with strong skills in costings and contracts. You will have keen attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities. You’ll have great interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively with academic staff and external funders. You can manage and prioritise work from multiple sources, thriving both independently and as part of a team.

The Research and Innovation Service / Division supports ideas and innovations that contributes to the Global Community. We contribute to new knowledge, ideas, and solutions. Our Strategy focuses on People, Research Strengths, Interdisciplinarity, Integrity, Grant Capture, and International Reputation. Last year alone we submitted 681 bids, received 230 awards, completed the set-up of 227 projects showcasing our dynamic and impactful work.
