The University of Roehampton London is recruiting to the role of Clinical Skills and Simulation Technician join our expanding Technical Services team. This is an exciting time to join our technical service as we embark on a new integrated University wide technical team

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for teaching a range of clinical skills
  • Manage and supervise the technical facilities in the clinical simulation/health innovation centres and facilitate a safe and effective learning environment
  • Liaise with the technical team and academic staff to optimise the use of space, resources and equipment using an online booking system
  • Assist academic staff in the delivery of clinical simulation sessions
  • Carry out daily maintenance of equipment and areas
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to be safe and clean
  • Ensure specialist spaces are organised and maintained to be safe and clean

The role will closely partner with the School of Life and Health Sciences, which has established a reputation for quality and innovation within Allied Health and Nursing, and saw NSS results of 96% and 93% positive scores in Mental Health and Adult Nursing respectively; a result which our technical team has helped achieve.

We have one of the fastest growing healthcare education portfolios in the UK, along with expanding infrastructure support including 2 state of the art clinical simulation suites and a dedicate allied health teaching facility. This role will primarily support the delivery of our nursing provision and will assist with other allied health programmes as required.

You will be part of a team of specialist technicians working in the clinical simulation suites located at our Froebel and Digby Stuart campuses.

Our specialist facilities support the delivery of academic and research activities within the School and provide a stimulating learning environment for our undergraduate and postgraduate students.
