About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Genetic Counsellor / Clinical Nurse Specialist with an interest in genetics and oncology to join the Women’s Precision Prevention team. You will be providing virtual counselling and genetic testing support for innovative multi-centre research studies in genetic testing, risk prediction, and risk management. These studies involve genetic testing both in people with a cancer diagnosis and unaffected unselected individuals.
As part of a thriving research group, you will work alongside the study team which includes Clinical Nurse Specialist/Genetic Counsellors, Clinical Research Fellows, Researchers (PhD students, research associates, and Postdoctoral Fellows), Clinical Trial Managers and Data Programmers.
About You
You will be a highly motivated individual with a degree in genetics, nursing or biological/social sciences (or equivalent), a professional qualification in (STP Genomic Counsellor or MSc Genetic Counselling, RGN, etc.) and significant post-registration experience of genetic counselling or nursing in a cancer related area. Experience in cancer, screening or primary care research is desirable.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square campus in London. It is a full- time (35 hours per week), fixed-term appointment for 3 years, with an expected start date of January 2025. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £43,305 - £46,832 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London allowance.
