Teaching Associates in Law (Welsh Medium) LL.B (part-time) - Teaching and Scholarship

The School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University is a centre of world leading legal research. In the latest Research Evaluation Framework (REF) exercise, the School was placed overall 15th in the UK on grade point average within the ‘Law’ Unit of Assessment (UOA) and 5th for research environment and 6th for research impact. This strong performance reflects the quality of its interdisciplinary collaboration and the strong civic and policy engagement at the heart of the Law School’s research.

The School of Law and Politics is a large and friendly School attracting top calibre students from both within the UK and overseas. It has ambitious plans to develop its curriculum both at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels as well as extending its highly successful Pro Bono programme. The School is the only Russell Group University to offer the full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional legal qualifications.
 
The School of Law and Politics wishes to appoint suitably qualified and/or experienced hourly paid tutors to contribute to the teaching and administration of key modules on its LL.B degree programme. The School seeks tutors able to teach on Welsh language LLB modules including but not limited to: Legal Foundations, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Public Law, Land Law, Tort Law, Equity and Trusts and EU Law.

These are variable hour, hourly paid contracts, available from 1 September 2024. Teaching contact time would normally be 2-4 hours weekly for each subject taught or as agreed.

Salary: £32,332 - £34,980 per annum, pro-rata for hours worked (Grade 5)
