The Data Support Officer provides key support to Registry Services in the management of students’ academic records, particularly those held in the University’s student records system (SRS). This will involve writing queries and reports to extract, format and analyse data from the University’s SRS and other administrative systems.

The Data Support Officer plays a key role as a point of contact for queries and support for both staff and faculty and is also responsible for the timetabling of the teaching and examination timetables.

Other duties will include the co-ordination and production of accurate, valid and timely UK statutory returns such as HESA and UNISTATS, enhancing key systems processes relating to students’ study and assessment cycles and ensuring a high level of data quality across the system to support management reporting and statutory returns.

The ability to take a planned and structured approach to work and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Strong proficiency with SQL. Experience and skills in use of query languages and reporting tools to develop and produce a wide range of reports, returns and data analysis, business intelligence tools and Excel to intermediate level.

The Data Support Officer role is located at the University’s Chiswick Campus. Richmond operates on a hybrid working model, and it is expected that the postholders will work on campus for three days per week, during term-time.
